WhoCaller Terms of Service
The rules for using WhoCaller. Your data is covered by the Privacy Policy.
In short: use WhoCaller lawfully and respectfully; spam reports must be honest; caller ID results come from community reports and can be wrong; you are responsible for following call-recording laws; Premium is billed by Google Play. How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
1. Accepting these terms
By installing or using WhoCaller you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use WhoCaller. If you use WhoCaller for an organisation, you accept these terms for it.
2. Who can use WhoCaller
You must be at least 13 years old (or older if your country requires it). In India, users under 18 may use WhoCaller only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian. You must give true information when you create your WhoCaller ID, and verify only a mobile number that belongs to you.
3. What WhoCaller does
WhoCaller identifies callers, helps block spam and scam calls and messages, works as a phone (dialer) and SMS app, and offers encrypted chat and video calls between WhoCaller users. Some features need permissions on your phone or your choice to make WhoCaller your default phone or SMS app; you can change these at any time in Android settings.
4. Caller ID and spam results
Names, categories and spam scores come from community reports, public sources and on-device checks. They are shown in good faith but can be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on WhoCaller alone for decisions that matter: when in doubt, contact the person or organisation through an official channel. WhoCaller may occasionally fail to block a spam call or may block a wanted call; you can review blocked calls and change your blocking settings in the app.
5. Using WhoCaller fairly
You agree not to:
- report numbers as spam falsely, to harm someone, or in bulk without reason;
- use WhoCaller to harass, threaten, stalk, defraud or spam anyone, or to send unlawful content in chat or video calls;
- impersonate another person or verify a number that is not yours;
- scrape, copy or bulk-download caller data, or use automated tools against our service;
- reverse engineer, tamper with or bypass the app’s security, Play Integrity or App Check, except where the law allows it;
- resell WhoCaller data or use it for telemarketing, debt collection or profiling.
We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and remove false reports.
6. Call recording
Recordings are made only when you press Record and are saved only on your phone. Recording laws differ by country and state; in many places you must tell the other person or get their consent. You are responsible for following the law where you and the other person are.
7. Chat and video calls
Chats are end-to-end encrypted and video calls go directly between phones; we cannot read or watch them. You are responsible for what you send. As explained in the Privacy Policy, we keep a minimal record of who contacted whom, when and for how long (never the content) for 180 days, only to respond to lawful requests. You can block and report users from a chat.
8. WhoCaller Premium
Premium is optional and sold through Google Play as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in the Play Store (Payments & subscriptions); deleting the app or your account does not cancel billing. Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policies. We may change Premium features or prices; changes to an active subscription take effect from the next billing period and Google Play will tell you first.
9. Our app and content
WhoCaller, its design, code, name and logo belong to RS Apps Studio. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices for your own, non-commercial purposes. Third-party names (banks, payment apps, government bodies) appear only to warn you about impersonation; WhoCaller is not affiliated with them, nor with Truecaller, Google or WhatsApp.
10. Other services
WhoCaller works with services from others, such as Google Play, Google sign-in, Firebase and WhatsApp. Their own terms apply when you use them.
11. Changes and availability
We improve WhoCaller often and may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep the service available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. If we change these terms in an important way, we will tell you in the app or on this page before the change applies.
12. Liability
WhoCaller is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, RS Apps Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by a call or message that was or was not identified or blocked. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited.
13. Ending your use
You can stop using WhoCaller at any time and delete your account from Settings › Privacy › Delete account, or as described on the Delete account page.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before any formal step, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue. Courts in India have jurisdiction, without removing any right you have to bring a claim where you live under your local consumer laws.
